Goal setting
Ok, I’ve been back to training for several weeks now – I think it’s time I outlined some training goals for myself.
Goal 1: Bottom game
Defense – work on getting “T-rex” arms, especially when under side control
Offense – learn to sweep and be able to sweep all white belts
Goal 2: Top game
Work on general guard passing, but focus on passing open guard and butterfly guard
Goal 3: Name game
Remember people’s names. Try to remember everyone.
It looks like my goals haven’t changed much in over a year when I injured my shoulder..My problems then are my problems now. That’s the main goal here, lessen my weaknesses in the areas listed above and develop new, different goals in the future.
Yeah.

Good goals mate. I’m working on the t-rex arms myself, makes a huge difference.
The name game… sheesh, don’t tell me about that… everyone where I train has three or four-syllabled names… Tsugunuma-san… Shiroaki-san… Morotomi-san… It’s a nightmare!

hahaha, I’m glad people here have easier names…Paul, John, etc – but I still can’t remember!
