Noob and Boarder start standing. Boarder has a grip on Noob’s lapel.

Boarder jumps to pull guard. One leg ahead of the other.

That’s one leg at a time, just a tiny split second apart. Boarder closes the guard and will be able to maintain the position with his deep collar grip.

Boarder opens the closed guard, lets go of his deep collar grip, and rests his shoulders on the mat. He grabs Noob’s right sleeve with his left hand as he does this.

Immediately, Boarder pulls on Noob’s right arm as he plants his left foot on Noob’s bicep, just like with spider guard.

At the same time, Boarder hooks his right foot just under the right knee of Noob.

And at the same time, Boarder grabs the left leg of Noob with his arm. (Note: Boarder’s left leg is still tight on Noob’s right arm, it just looks like it isn’t in the photo)

Boarder then hipscapes right, putting himself under Noob. (Note: Again, Boarder’s left leg is still tight on Noob’s right arm)

The position should look like this, but with Boarder’s left hand gripping Noob’s right sleeve.

While pulling Noob’s right arm toward the mat in a big circle and simultaneously lifting up with his hooked right leg, Boarder is able to make Noob fall forward…

…thus sweeping Noob and using the momentum to help get Boarder into knee-on-belly.

Boarder still has his grip on Noob’s right sleeve. Boarder quickly capitalizes on the control of the right arm of Noob…

…and swings his leg over to finish with an armbar.
