January and February Goals Review

I’ve been rather busy lately and haven’t trained or blogged as much as I would’ve liked to.

And so – -  given that I’m over a month late for my January goals, I’ll just do a quick review.  And since  I didn’t even make any goals for February, I won’t do a review for that.

Ok, January quickie:

  • I got to learn and try the shoulder plant pass
  • I did roll more with dudes bigger and heavier than me

So good, right?  I should continue to roll with bigger and heavier dudes since I still struggle with them.

The shoulder plant pass wasn’t really the super star technique I felt I was pumping it up to be.  As with learning any new technique, I should try to use the technique more and experiment using it with those less experienced than me and then work my way up with those way more experienced than me.  But I haven’t really done that – so I can’t really say that I accomplished the goal.

Reading the quick review it appears that I need to train more.

And that sounds like a great goal for this month.  So…

March 2009 training goals:
Try to train regularly

Stretch Goal:  Don’t miss a single class (go 2x a week)
Challenges:  planning for wedding and heavy school work

Ok.  Back to another %$#@$& paper for school.  icon smile
