Bridge reversal to taking the mount

Here’s the first technique learned in BJJ Class 115.

Nogi is under the side-control of Boarder.

Boarder is securing his control of Nogi…

…and transitions to mount.

Nogi feels Boarder going for mount and positions his right hand on Boarder’s hip.

Boarder continues the transition to mount, sliding his knee across Nogi’s belly.

Nogi brings his feet in, as close to his butt as possible, so he can do a huge bridge.

And a huge bridge is just what Nogi does.  He times this while Boarder is sliding his knee across, not after Boarder achieves mount.

Picture of the previous step from another angle.  This pic shows the detail of Nogi pushing off on Boarder’s hip.

After the huge and nicely timed bridge, Nogi completes the reversal and…

…secures side control on Boarder.
